Penn Medicine Named Official Medical Services Provider for the Philadelphia Cycling Classic Presented by AmeriGas, Leading Growing Sponsor Lineup

Subaru Joins as Official Sponsor; Deloitte, Morgan Lewis, TD, and Others Support Return of Iconic Race This August  



PHILADELPHIA (June 10, 2026) – As anticipation builds for the August return of the Philadelphia Cycling Classic presented by AmeriGas®, community excitement is being matched by growing support from the corporate community across the city and beyond. Race Street Partners, owners of the Classic, announced today that Penn Medicine will serve as the Official Medical Services Provider and the event’s Premier Sponsor. 


The race returns Sunday, Aug. 30 with an amateur time trial on Saturday, Aug. 29, a Charity Ride benefitting the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) on Sunday, Aug. 30, and a two-day Fan Fest on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 29 and 30. 


“AmeriGas was essential in helping us mount this comeback story, and now we are thrilled to welcome Penn Medicine as a premier sponsor,” said Michael Nutter, former Mayor of Philadelphia and Race Street Partners co-owner of the Philadelphia Cycling Classic. “Penn Medicine is synonymous with innovation, community commitment, and civic leadership. They are a natural partner as we bring one of the world’s premier cycling events and a beloved city tradition back to Philadelphia.” 


As the race’s Official Medical Services Provider, Penn Medicine professionals will staff key locations along the race route and provide on-course rapid response teams, supporting athletes and attendees.

Also signing on as an Official Sponsor is Subaru of America, Inc., providing a variety of their trusted and capable vehicles to support official race operations throughout the weekend, including pace car, staff transport, safety support, and more. 

 

The growing list of organizations joining presenting sponsor AmeriGas, broadcast partner 6abc, and charitable beneficiary AACR in supporting the Classic also includes: Deloitte, Morgan Lewis, and TD to date.


Additional support is provided by Clear Channel Outdoor, iHeartMedia, Intersection, JAKROO, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Visitor Center, and Republic Waste Services, as well as contributions from 4th Street Famous Cookies, Gatorade, La Colombe, Red Bull, and Shimano.


The Logan Hotel will serve as the Classic’s Official Race Headquarters and host the teams of professional and elite cyclists from all over the world.  


In addition to race day, weekend festivities will offer fans, community members and visitors multiple ways to get involved, including a two-day Fan Fest featuring local and national vendors, food and drink, family-friendly activities, and live entertainment. 


Cyclists of all levels can get in on the competition and race against the clock at the Philadelphia Cycling Classic Amateur Time Trial on Saturday, Aug. 29 presented by Guy’s Racing Club with support from Independence Youth Cycling


Fans looking to experience the course firsthand can register for the Philadelphia Cycling Classic’s Charity Ride benefiting AACR, where participants raise funds to support life-saving cancer research and get the opportunity to ride the legendary course on race morning ahead of the professional competition.  


The Philadelphia Cycling Classic is owned by Race Street Partners, composed of former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, entrepreneur Eric M. Robbins, and Hush Salon Philadelphia owner and avid cyclist Carlos Rogers. Veteran race organizer and former pro team manager Robin Morton, principal of g4 Productions, returns as race director. g4 Productions oversees the Classic’s operations and logistics.The Classic is managed and marketed by Athena Global Advisors.
